Terms of use

Plumbers24 is a referral service. We are not a contractor, we do not carry out any of the work described on this site, and we do not employ the people who do. Everything below follows from that one fact.

What we do

We take your enquiry and pass it to one independent plumber who works your area. They contact you, quote you, and if you accept, they do the work. Your agreement is with them.

What you pay

Nothing to us. You never pay Plumbers24 for anything. You pay the trade, at the price they quote you, on whatever terms the two of you agree.

What we are responsible for

Making the introduction, and handling your personal information properly. That is the extent of it. We are not responsible for the quality, timing, pricing or safety of work carried out by an independent business, and we do not guarantee that anyone will accept your job or contact you within any particular time.

We vet the trades we refer to, but vetting is not a warranty. If work goes wrong, your rights are against the business that did it.

Your rights against the trade are not affected

The Consumer Protection Act gives you rights against the business that does the work, including a warranty on parts and labour under section 57. Nothing on this site limits those rights, and nothing here can. If a trade we referred you to lets you down, tell us — we would rather stop referring to them.
